Black Friday, the Big Goodbye
I don't know whats going to happen with winamp as per this:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....5&goto=newpost but IF this all does go away, once again for a last time, a big THANKS to DrO, DJ Egg, Benski, Frankel, and all the winamp dev teams over the years for creating a product that I can't envision being without. I'm hoping for the best, but if this is the end of official winamp, I really appreciate all the help and support and patience shown me over the years, and of course the utility of your great products! thanks!!! edit: http://winampforum.com/ PENN STATE Radio or http://www.LION-Radio.org/ -- BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing Last edited by MrSinatra; 20th December 2013 at 19:05. |

I'm hoping for either a last-minute reprieve or for AOL to allow someone who will actually support Winamp to take it over.

According to TechCrunch, AOL is “finalizing negotiations” to sell Winamp and the Shoutcast Internet radio service to an unnamed buyer. Both products would live on under the deal, says “a source with knowledge of the discussions.”

now aol kills winamp to
AOL killed so many good Programs i liked in the past, so i now dont wounder that it strucks on winamp....
Well i dont want to be unfair, THANK U THANK U THANK U THANK U for all this years since i heared from a friend of mine from winamp, i allways used Winamp, and i will as long it runs, because there is nothing better for PC . I feel so sad to hear that so many people from the first time left Winamp because of AOL, and i feel much more sorry that winamp now goes to rip. AOL had ruined all the good things wich were there in the past, like ICQ and others... and now they did it again, nearly 15 years iam using winamp, and i will miss it very very much ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think ICQ has ruined itself (or has been ruined by 'web 2.0' if you like so to speak)

I detect a more "upbeat" tone from DJ Egg and DrO.
Is my observation correct? :-) :-) |

Ugh, no, lol. I was trying to be positive and optimistic.
The last few months have been like chasing rainbows and journeying through a long dark tunnel. So my analogy was more intended to relate to the prospect of rebirth, success, happiness... |

Careful DJ...someone will almost surely read into what you say no matter how you say it. Obviously, your last statement reads ..."WooHoo, we've been sold." OR "Damnit, we got our last paycheck; and now we are packing our boxes. Thank god it's over quickly."
Hahahahah |
