Track info to my car's screen???

I always listen to music in on my car's (2012 Prius) speakers via Bluetooth connection to my phone. Previous iPhone worked flawlessly. Current HTC One works as well....that is until I switched to winamp for android as my music player. Now, no track info is displayed on the car's head unit screen, just the obnoxious (NO DATA) for song, album and artist.

Thought it might be the files, so I tested it. While sitting in the car, I closed winamp and started the stock music player and VOILA! all the track data appeared. Winamp does let me control it with the car's audio controls via Bluetooth, however, so it's not a Bluetooth issue.

Does anyone have any ideas? I really like winamp for android, but this is a deal breaker for me and will probably have to move on to the next audio player...just when I thought I had finally settled into one!

Bonus question: if I can get album art to display on the car's screen, that would be icing on the cake!
