SHOUTcast broadcasting from school..

Hi, I've recently tried to set up a school radio station. We've tried to set it up to broadcast using every type of encoder... (WInamp, Butt, Sam etc...) Apparently we can't broadcast as the school's IT policy had the ports closed... They opened the two respective ports, but still no luck. I was told that they didn't even detect the encoder trying to stream... On SAM we had a 'bad password & response time-out' all tough the password was correct. I know it's a very vague description of the problem, but does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

You need to verify that you can actually connect to the server.

Go to the address in your browser and verify that you can see the administration panel.
