Got high %WA . server stopped responding while broadcasting.
Hello,
My broadcasting dropped earlier when i reached 300+ listeners. Server stopped responding . Looking at top processes %WA got high at 90% up. Please check attached screenshot. I had to wait for a few minutes and restart shoutcast service to broadcast again. Any idea how can I diagnose the real problem and fix it? By the way, my server specs is RAID 10, dual E52650 32 processor, 32 GIG RAM. My maximum concurrent connections was 600 and whenever i got more connections server started freezing. Please help on how to configure this server so i can broadcast to thousands. Thanks! |

Hi,
It happened again. Host support says server experienced High memory and swap usage causing High IO wait. They said shoutcast could be causing this problem. What could be the problem? Anyone? |
