Saved audio files not loud enough to be heard by listeners in live broadcast

I am sure there is a simple solution but...I want to have "replays" of play-by-play of a baseball game we are doing as a live broadcast. In otherwords, after the game, we want to do a post-game report complete with audio replays of the hi-lites. We have used audacity and saved the files but they play too low in live mode when I have the winamp play the file. I have looked into compression options but with no success. Is there something I am doing wrong and is there a solution to this?
