How to "play" an advertisement/song without live Mic being overh

This might not be correct forum so I apologize if in wrong area. I am doing a live sports play-by-play show using winamp but want to be able to play pre-recorded "ads"/music between innings without the live mic feed being heard. Any techniques for doing this? In short, want ads to be heard only while the PBP/Color Commentator can drop out for a few minutes and then return.
