This is really starting to agrivate me...

I go to a category to browse the skins that are of /that/ category... I don't like it when people publish their skin in a category that it has nothing to do with....

Please if anybody can remedy this situation.... why don't the people who look over the skins for publication do something about this???

I don't remember seeing any out of place skins...
Then again, I *do* spend my entire waking day in the forums, only rarely venturing out to look at skins.
The sunlight hurts...

Sorry, another useless post... I'll try and be useful:

There are some people out there who are just mind numbingly dumb, and those who might just misinterpret what the catagories are. There's really no way to check every skin so really we just have to live with it. Ah well...

The main reason and only one of many is the huge and I mean huge number of 'danzig' skins... prolly about 10 to 20 if not more... that were posted (at my guess at the same time) in the ANIME section....

Last I heard Danzig was not an anime, not related to anime... I don't even think that they speak Japanese...

What's up...? This is only one... There are at least two other cases, just in the first 4 or so pages of skins?

grrrrr....

the diffrence between anime and other cartoons are getting less and less. so don't bother to get pissed about it. it time you won't see those skins anymore (i guess)

I love animé SO much. I wish I had enough money to buy thousands of animé DVDs. But I'll just have to settle with.. um.. about 100 I think.

Another reason why folks have skins in the wrong category is....drumroll please....

Because they ripped the skin from someone else, and if the sripped skin isnt in the same category, it may not be found as soon, or at all! thats the same reason for strange skin names.

When are they gonna take down the skin rips, I posted 2 to 3 weeks ago and nothing has been done....boooo!!!

You forget the obvious reason.

People are stupid

I'm betting its no coincedence that the "anime" section is second from the top when you select a section to submit to.
You get 3d by default in the primary section, so I bet there is a shit load of skins go in there by mistake.

As you can't pick the same section twice, Anime is next, followed by consumption, I bet these two have the most incorrectly placed skins in them out of all the sections on winamp.

People are stupid.

When I say I could buy about 100:
This is assuming they all cost £20
therefore = £2000
Hmm, wait a minute.
If I spent ALL of my money.. I could buy...
550! (roughly)
But I don't wanna spend all my money.
I wanna make my computer kickass again.
2 years ago my computer was *incredible*. Now it's just kinda "eh". But still damn good. But I don't want "damn" good. I want "so good it makes those who see it fall on there knees begging forgiveness for not devoting their lives to it" good.
How old are you to only buy 10? I'm 14.

Alltogether I have about £11000. I get an extra £100 monthly straight into my Debit card account. And I've got £10000 in my 6% intrest rate savings account.
I get the money from hawking drugs and my underground pimp network.
Really...

yeah but...

I actually got a s**tty review for having my "art of flying" skin in the (quote) WRONG CATEGORY (unquote). So my question would be... what f***ing category should an airplane skin be in??? I dont recall seeing an AIRPLANE category anywhere. *looks around* For the record it got posted in Car, 3D, and I think it was Futuristic. Seems people don't stick to the "right" category partly through ignorance yes, but also because less categories = less people seeing it = less downloads. On top of that the Categories list isn't exactly all-encompassing.

I was about to scream. blackadder said it: and lest you forgot - Winamp demands you choose three categories. At least half of my skins do not fit in more than two of the possible categories. And another question - was this really such a problem when the skins were actually looked at before publication? Just stuff to think about before you get all pissed at stuff. (exceptions above excluded. )

...a blatant person.
