Actually, I didn't try the "relay workaround" yet (if I only could find some time...), so, yes, sounds like a contradiction, although the random hangs did occur after the upgrade to 2.2.2.
Since this issue shows up when one or more sources have problems, the more than one week uptime is not necessarily a proof of improved stability... maybe it's just because sources have been streaming normally.

By the end of this week I will try stress test DNAS andreport the results.

I rebooted the server. Of course, that means sc_trans and sc_serv are freshly started.

I am still not being listed in YP. This behavior started when I began using the latest build.

I restarted sc_serv again, and this time the YP listing is OK.

I didn't change anything.

Worked OK for about 6 hours, but now no YP listing

Running on Linux 32

"Server is currently up and unable to connect to the Directory."

Restarting everything only lets me back on YP for a few minutes, if at all.

I've looked through the log files but the only error - or ANY mention- that I see is "ERROR [YP] Request [http://yp.shoutcast.com:80/yp2] failed, code: 2 [easy handle already used in multi handle]"
