NSIS 3.0 compatible to 2.46?

Hi folk,

I am currently using NSIS 2.46 with a couple of plugins and UltraModernUI.

Is NSIS 3.0 compatible to older versions? Does UltraModernUI work with NSIS 3.0?

If not is there already any HowTo what to do to upgrade from older releases to 3.0?

It is not 100% compatible but it should be pretty close. There are some minor codepage issues in the Ansi generated installers but the main reason to upgrade to 3.0 is Unicode support.

I don't use UMUI, check their docs.

If you install on top of 2.4x you need to move any 3rd-party plugins from NSIS\Plugins to NSIS\Plugins\x86-ansi...
