3 questions at least - Finally seem to be "up" .. but?
Everything appears to be running ok - I think. Finally up. But ...
No errors in Diagnose. OMG, took some figuring out... but 1. how do I know if it's streaming to the outside world? More importantly - given that Windows machines need completely rebooting about every other day when updates come in, 2. how do I automate the startup of this lot? So that when a reboot IS required, it will happen? I have it on Windows 8.1 currently. I would REALLY like it on my mac mini, but can't find anything to stream the music to sc_serv. Winamp for OSX doesn't do the plugins :-(. The mini soundcard is nothing like a PC setup apparently. At the moment, I'm running the ShoutcastGUI interface, being fed by Winamp. Now, the ShoutcastGUI looks and feels just like the sc_serv that I am familiar with. 3.Is it the same? or have I stumbled onto something completely different? I must say, it's pretty useful, but I am familiar with the ordinary or standard command line sc_serv also. If I need to go back to that for compatibility going forward, I will. |
