extremely weird DSP glitch when trying to connect

Hey guys. I've been using SHOUTcast for over 10 years and I'm completely stumped on this recent malfunction of the DSP plugin when trying to connect to our host server that popped up out of nowhere. I've done a search of the forums without any luck.

I'll try my best to describe it. What is happening is upon clicking the connect button to connect to the host server, the DSP status will display "connecting" while not actually connecting during a 15-20 second span. If I hit the "disconnect" button during these 15-20 seconds, the DSP will lag for the duration of the 15-20 seconds and the button will then display "kill" during this time while not being functional. The DSP seems to be 'working' as I can see the words in the button faintly flashing while it attempts to connect. I normally use old Winamp version 2.95 and DSP 1.9.0 but have uninstalled/reinstalled it and also tried Winamp 5.601 with DSP 2.2.3 but the exact same error occurs. I've disabled firewalls and anti-virus programs and all fields and settings have been double checked to make sure they are correct.

Under normal circumstances, check marking "auto connect" (with automatic reconnection on connection failure unchecked) you normally see the the status constantly flashing "connecting" to "not connecting." With this error, the status will continuously display "connecting" and when you hit the "disconnect" button, the button will again change to "kill" for a 15-20 second duration before the status finally goes back to "not connecting."

The problem seems to have something to do with the address field in the output configuration. I've noticed that if I try unused outputs that have the default settings in the fields with "localhost" in the address the DSP seems to work normally by attempting to connect to the host server for 2 seconds before going back to "not connected." Once I enter in anything in the address field, this glitch rears it's ugly head.

I thought I would attempt to post this in hopes that any fellow SHOUTcast veterans have had this issue before I reformat the computer and start over. It's possible that I'm dealing with a virus (I'm currently doing a scan). However, this computer is rarely used to surf the web and everything else seems to be working as normal. I'm chompin' at the bit go get to broadcasting again. Any help is greatly appreciated!
