Hi fellas, Shoutcast walkthrough required.

Ok guys, I tried to find answers to why my Shoutcast server doesn't connect but the problem is not being able to understand the answers rather than not being able to find the required info. There is way too much info in order for me to understand the basics of setting up this server, so I would appreciate a walkthrough or a link to one which caters for noobs. So that you have the heads up on what the problem might be, I'll paste some of the issues according to the Shoutcast self diagnostics:

I have no idea why this isn't working & all me attempts to school myself has failed mostly because the terms & jargon are impossible to understand if you don't have an IT background - authhash for example? WTF? Sounds like drugs for writers block. So the answers in the set up guides don't provide any actual answers, merely fresh questions about a technology that would be nice to learn about but irrelevant once that tech is up & running. Its the same issue as say my car doesn't start & I need to go somewhere so I phone a mechanic & instead of saying 'reboot your immobiliser by activating the central locking three times', he gives me a lecture on internal combustion engine management systems relative to motion detection security when all I wanna do is pick up my missus.
So anyone fancy addressing this problem in laymans terms or able to point me in the direction of a fool proof set up guide? Thanks gents.

BTW, I have changed the 'never' to 'always' etc & Winamp seems to run ok with the plug in...
