Shoutcast DNAS server with Winamp Plugin song change fast forward sounding?

I have a really basic local setup of the DNAS server and the Winamp Shoucast DSP plugin. I was having constant buffering issues then I set this:

buffertype=1
adaptivebuffersize=15

after that my buffering issues went away, but when tracks change on the server, the client's sound like they are fast forwarding to catch up. It only lasts for a couple seconds and then evens out again. On the server side, Winamp's buffer is set to Remote Audio and on my client the buffer's are set to default. Client's other than winamp have the same issue. I am streaming MP3 encoded audio at 320kbps. Everything works fine except when the songs change.

The songs start off ok, then a couple seconds in they sound like they are trying to catch up to the server.
