There is still a $ monetisation symbol on my admin page and hovering over it says

code:
"Active DNAS+ Stream Monetisation Enabled".

No ads are played though, or at least no pre-roll ads; I cannot say yet if some are inserted randomly in the stream because I have only just implemented authhash. I cannot see where on RMO I can disable it but as you say, I shouldn't have to opt out.

Yes, for DNAS, if you don't insert trigger files then no ads will ever be triggered or inserted.
Therefore revenue generation itself is opt-in.

People were reporting hearing pre-rolls here due to a serverside test (for one particular hosting provider) that went wrong, since fixed.

You can request (via email, support form, or here) for monetization support to be completely disabled, if you want... and then you won't see the $ signs. I'd obviously need to know the account/station details....

I'm not sure if you granted my request. I still see the $ signs but now they are crossed out.
