When playing a CD all is fine. When I start Advanced Visualization Studio v2.5, the spectrum analyzer bars stop functioning. They fire up once I stop the visualization. Any clues out there?
Thnx, -Marc. |

Yup, when using another Vis plug-in the default ones shut off. This is how it is susposed to work

Ummm...that wen you have a visualation plug-in running it would be a waste to keep the VS/SA running.

That was rationale? Maybe to another software geek. Sorry. No comprende amigo. What do I care about waste or VS/SA (whatever those are). I want to see bars AND the sentinel. You need to step outside of the machine and see it from a Joe C for Casual User perspective. Then you can see how your response is meaningless to us. Now, if it's beyond the scope (i.e. a limitation) of this app., then say that, that I can understand.
Thnx, -Marc. |

I think you mean it's meaningless to you as I understood perfectly.
What he means is that, if you have another visualisation running, (such as AVS) then you can have a spectrum analyser in that. Therefore you don't need to have two spectrum analysers running at the same time. It's pointless. VS stands for "Visualisation Studio" and SA stands for "Spectrum Analyser". |

I'm not buying into any of this.
Sounds like AVS is hi-jacking WINAMP's resource that provides the bar graphics for it's own use. Or AVS could have it's own and shuts down WINAMP's. Or it's a bug, or this, or that yada yada yada. Who knows, who cares?! I can see the "pointless"ness in running two SA's, but so what? Maybe I want my cake and eat it too. Or I might want to run my exotic dancer AVS and see the bars react to every bump or grind or toss of her garments. I'M the user and it's what I desire. Is it impossible? I'll repeat, if it's beyond the scope (i.e. a limitation) of this app., then say that, that I can understand. Thnx, -Marc. |
