I would hope Radionomy owned SC is not doing what I and others SC broadcasters have mentioned.

But I have experience with Radionomy from past and we they are backed by people with millions of dollars. Fake news bullshit and censorship can be a concern for a platform such as this.

But I believe people will find you if they are interested in your content. Stats have been going crazy but i still beat some in my genre without being listed.

It's just very frustrating! I do believe to be competitive in this market it should be a huge priority with a company with money. We are in a Internet Radio explosion and they don't have their website on point and they have millions.

It can be done by people who really want to do it and truly care about the future of SC!

My v1 station is not even listed today when I search for it explicitly: replayscape

Nobody paid much attention to this when I posted it over a month ago. Now, that's blowing up in everyone's face, it's kind of too late!

If SC continues to operate this way:

1. FAKE NEWS - "More coming soon ... the best is yet to come, sign up with you email for more info soon!" That was 3 years ago and nothing has happened except, well nothing! A junk website, everything is coming soon, blah blah blah! The original SC website was still the best.

2. NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE - All of the focus is on Radionomy. Nothing really for SC users. What tiny bit of customer service there is appears to be coming from someone with the maturity level of a 12 year old!

3. NO UPDATES/NO FIXES - Serious Internet broadcasters are treated like some piss ant hobbyist. Internet radio on any serious level now-of-days has to generate revenue. It shouldn't matter if you're using v1, v2, icecast, etc. Shoutcast, if they know what's good for them will realize this. You can't expect to try to throw everyone into the same bucket! People have different methods of doing business and SC should embrace this, not try to inhibit it!

4. NO APPS - How can you operate SC without any apps at this day and age!

5. TONS OF COMPETITION THAT NEVER EXISTED BEFORE NOW EXISTS - This isn't 2006! SC better wake up and SOON! You're not the center of the universe.

You have the chance to make things good now, but this TRULY is your LAST chance. People are getting fed up with your shit!

1. The 'coming soon' is on winamp.com, not shoutcast.com
Unfortunately, there's a heap of issues surrounding Winamp - from legal / licensing / patents to developers and more.

2. Thanks for that. It's good to know my 15+ years of support have been appreciated....
You were one of the first people to report the bug via the help/contact form, and I reported it instantly, marking the ticket as critical.
No matter how many replies they send to the customer, Customer Support cannot fix developer bugs.
I'm sorry to hear that you think I'm unprofessional and have the maturity of a 12 year old.
Really boosts my confidence, so thanks for that again :--(

3. Since Radionomy took over SHOUTcast in 2013 there's been DNAS v2.4.7, 2.4.8 beta, 2.5.0 and 2.5.1 releases.
The long list of fixes for the current release can be found here > https://yp.shoutcast.com/v/2_5_1

DNAS v2.5x supports revenue generation. Older DNAS versions do not.
SCSS supports revenue generation.
We cannot monetize Icecast or DNAS v1 streams. Sorry.

(well, we could auto insert pre-rolls & mid-rolls when the streams are played via our site players, but we don't think the broadcasters would appreciate it, i.e. we would prefer to adopt some kind of opt-in approach - which is not yet implemented for Icecast streams, and we would obviously prefer DNAS v1.x users to upgrade to the latest release)

4. We offer a free Nobex app and a free embeddable html5 player via the RMO.

Egg, I was not directing the "12 Year Old" comment at you. You have been very helpful.

I was referring to someone else who is working for Shoutcast (or at least appears to be). There are regular posts from this person about almost all issues and he's a forum "king" so I'm guessing he is a team member - maybe not, again...I'm not sure how many support team members there are for SC. All I know is that reading some of posts from this person makes the impression this individual is SC team member. They aren't very helpful and most of the time just a plain non-sense.

I understand ShoutCastStreamingService is advertising based revenue (rather than subscription based). What is the v2.5x model?

When I tried it, IP's of listeners were not displayed on the admin page. Unacceptable for me. Each listener was represented by a domain name address instead. My DNAS service provider said it was a setting they could not change but I hope you can tell me they are wrong.

August 18, 2018 I get "0 results in search" when I click on classic rock. This has been happening for over a month. Shoutcast has been crucial to my listening and I have been using it for many years, back when I was using an early version of Winamp.

I really hope technical can fix this problem.
