Winamp is only an source-client to feed the DNAS (server). There are many tools out there, which you can use instead of Winamp. Winamp exists only for Windows but the DNAS exists also for Linux and MacOS.
1. You have to feed the DNAS with a data-stream, it provides only your stream to more than one listener. One DNAS deamon can manage different endpoints, on each enpoint is one stream possible. 2. When you feed the DNAS, then you are the source. When you want access to the admin-area, then ou need the admin-password. 3. Check the docs-Folder in the downloaded archive and ou will find all what do you need to configure the DNAS but what you reall doesn't need, is this foolish installer. DNAS has a simple config-file, which you can create very quickly (reading of docs required). 4. If you have question for understanding of details in the docs, then create an thread with all details about your used setup (Hard- & Software). |
