Winamp personal review
There's no reason that Winamp couldn't be in the position that iTunes is in today
That's a very bold statement, and I have to disagree. The iTunes player it's self wasn't the interesting part of iTunes. People did like having a big library manager on their desktop, but mostly I'd say it was a bit shitty. It was the iPod, later the iPhone, and the Apple store, which really made iTunes successful. iTunes was just one cog in a larger machine. On it's own iTunes is kinda pointless. So I find the statement pretty misleading. No one really cares about media players. Ok, they do a little. No matter how good your music player is, that alone is never going to rock iTunes. That's the point here. |
