mIRC is a piece of software that you can download and install. You can use it to join Internet Relay Chat (IRC) chatrooms.

A great introduction to IRC can be found at irchelp.org.

heh, somehow I knew sax would come and whine here, even tho the chatroom and this forum have nothing to do with each other. No one else on the channel at the time seemed to mind his parting... (and coincidentally, I unbanned sax very shortly after). I apologize for #******* problems having to waste space here

[edit] people with IRC woes should refer to grifinn's post, it's everything you need to know. Just get your copy runnin and come on down (or visit an irc network of your choosing)
