searching for skins

Why when I am searching for skins in the skin archive, it says I can search by author, but every name I put in, it says 'no results' even though I know I am spelling it right. I've even tried to search for me and I can't find myself, but the skins are there when I search under skin name.

help? I'd like to search by author cause some of the skins I see by certain authors are kewl, and I'd like to see more.
