'Trimming' MP3s?

I have an MP3 of a concert that is nearly 2 hours long. I want to burn it to CD, but obviously it's too big to do that (200 MB). Does anyone know how to cut MP3's in 1/2, or maybe a better way to be able to burn the CD?

Thanks!

Seles,

Use the mp3 splitter. However, there is a bug in the program so you cant split it by sections. Instead split the file by seconds, just use 60 X the number of minutes. It is a great program, easy to use, and best of all it is free!

Good Luck!

200 megs is too much for the cd? or is the cd only 200 megs? You lost me there.

200 megs? The MP3 must be 200 megs making it 2,000 megs or 2 gig (roughly)after conversion?

Sorry for the confusion... I downloaded the concert from WinMx. The file is roughly 200MB. I need to cut it down, so I can burn it onto Cd. So I want to make 3 CD's out of it - therefore I need to split it in 3. It's all a continuous MP3 with no breaks or songbreaks. I want to make it smooth transitions and not rough cuts. Sorry If I confused you all! Again, thanks for the help - I'm new here and really don't know what to do.

Or if you cant get a hold of any of these programs and have lots of hard drive space, you can convert the file to WAV and use windows normal gimpy sound recorder. Start-Run-sndrec32. Then you can use this to split it into as many files you want and convert them back to mp3. its or boring confusing process and eats up hard drive space till your done. Do this as a last resort or if you cant get anything else to work.
