cd audio

I have used winamp for a year or so. Just reloaded win 98'. Now Winamp will not play my cd's. Probably a stupid question, but does anyone know what is the matter with this?

What CDs?
What happens when you try to play them?
Do you get any error messages?

Have you tried using the CD Reader plugin?? Be sure to read the associated readme file, as it tells you how to disable the default plugin.
