Under normally operating circumstances data is constantly being sent
from your client PC to your server any time you are streaming, not just only when someone is accessing your stream from your server. It
is also receiving data packets from the server about every second or
so. This is how the client software knows whether or not your stream
is properly being received by your server. If you have no way to monitor your stream in real-time (second PC networked to your cable
modem, second PC connected via dial-up modem, etc.), call a friend or
associate and have them verify your stream's net presence. If they
can't connect to your stream then it's back to the drawing-board.
