Music always "stutters"

I recently bought a new computer and installed winamp 2.76 on it. Whenever I surf the Web or do something else on the computer the music stops, shakes or whatever you may call it. On my old computer I didn't have that problem and that computer was a lot slower.
I set the priority up as high as possible under the wave out preferences. Does anybody have an idea what I could do?

I have the same problem,
AMD 1,4 Ghz
Abit KG7 Raid
2 Hd's Maxtor 40 GD in RAID
