Windows XP Final?
Soundcard & videocard? Winamp version? What stations are you trying to connect to? If not ShoutCast, then details & url's please. So, Winamp connects & buffers but doesn't start playing. You mean, the buffer gets to 100% then that's it? No timer display or audio or anything? Is the stream title displayed in the main window? How are you tuning in? Via clicking the "listen" button on a web page, by copying+pasting the url into Winamp's Open Location box (Ctrl+L), or by dragging+dropping the url into Winamp's Playlist? You say you deleted and reinstalled. Does this mean you properly uninstalled before reinstalling? If not, try this: Basic Uninstall -> Reinstall procedure: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=50818 If the problem persists, as well as providing all the above info, also include a list of any 3rd-party Winamp plugins you may have installed, plus a list of concurrently running programs. I think that's what sawg meant by more details
