WinAmp forgets settings after reboot

I've checked the WinAmp dir and files--none are read only, hidden or system. In fact, when I have the winamp.ini file open in UltraEdit, make changes to the preferences in WinAmp and switch back to UE, it tells me that the file has changed.

Does anyone know why it might be doing this?

Win2k, SBLive Value, DirectX 8.

TIA,

Tom

I've seen references to gen_nomad.dll elsewhere in the forum. I don't have the PlayCenter software installed, so it's not the issue. (I double-checked.)

I've solved the problem, though. Actually, it's a bit embarassing. I have Window Washer setup to run once/day, and one of the add-on wash items was WinAmp play history -- via deleting winamp.ini. I promptly removed it.

Thanks for your help.
