drag the seekbar, Playing a VBR file

Dragging the seekbar to the right to anywhere, even upto the end will start the recording over from the beginning. Or skipping with the right arrow will start the recording over but increments the seekbar to the right.

thoes are the crap-ass files encoded with MMJB, they uses the closed VBRI header, so winamp can't tell the time of the song

Winamp can't tell the length of my MP3s encoded using LAME on the -r3mix (ie VBR) setting, the Time Remaining jumps around like buggery.
Obviously Winamp uses the bitrate of the mp3 to calculate the length of the song, and when the bitrate changes, so the does the estimated length of the song. Not a big problem, but there you go.

Thanks for the tip...
Doesn't seem to work though The readme file says its for Musicmatch rips... I've never even heard of Musicmatch

Don't worry though... I just tried Media Player (*hack* *hack* *cough*) and it won't even play the song!

You could start at the very root of the problem. The command isn't -r3mix, it's
--r3mix.

I meant to type --r3mix i just forgot.

I know I'm ripping VBR mp3s because the little indicator changes in the Winamp window AT THE SAME TIME AS THE TIME SKIPS!!!!!!!!

This is what first gave me the clue that the two things might be connected.

I apologise if I sound a bit pissed off only liverpool have just lost to bloody grimsby. I don't even know where grimsby is.
