Internetradio & WinXP?

Since I've got Windows XP, Winamp 2.77 and older versions are using 99% of my CPU for internet radio! I haven't got any plugins installed...Where is the Problem?

When listening or broadcasting?

Is Webhancer installed?

And, are you 100% sure there's no gen_*.dll files in your winamp\plugins dir?
(regardless of whether you've knowingly installed any or not)

More sys specs would help too.
(cpu, ram, soundcard, videocard, connection type+speed)

I have no Webhancer installed! And I haven`t gen_*.dll or something else on my computer! This problem comes, when I am listing internet radio!

I've got a Celeron 466 @ 525, 128 MB Ram, WinXP Rc2, GeForce 2Mx and my Soundcard is a Soundblaster 128. For the Internet, I am using an ADSL-Connection @ 768 / 128 kBit Down-/Upstream!
I hope that helps!
Sorry for my bad english!

1) delete mirc_ex.dll if you have it
2) WinXP RC2 is non-release software, upgrade a a newer version of XP

1.) I have no such file on my drive
2.) It's the newest I can have!

Basically, sawg meant that you should try upgrade to WinXP Final Release.
At the moment you have WinXP Release Candidate 2
Maybe it's a buggy driver issue?

Apart from this, what other programs are running at the same time?

If the problem persists, try this:
Basic Uninstall -> Reinstall procedure:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=50818
(please use the exact method as described in this thread)

There are plenty of other people using WinXP on these forums, yet no-one else has reported this particular problem.

Can you also clarify which radio stations you are listening to exactly?
Are they MP3 streams (Shoutcast/m3u/pls)?
or some other format (ram/asx/wma)?

btw, your English is ok
