Memory leak in 2.77

Winamp 2.77 standard running on Windows 2000 Professional SP2 has a memory leak when playing local MP3s and is left on "pause". I can 100% repro application leaking memory by merely pressing the pause button and watching the application memory utilisation slowly climb in Task Manager. This is usually not a problem except if left like this for long periods when low virtual memory warnings start to appear.

For questions or more information, email: stirling_goetz@hotmail.com

BTW - Despite this feature Winamp still really kicks the lamas ass.

There are no memory leaks inb Winamp 2.77 any that you have are caused by third party plug-ins. Delete them

Please refer to The Official Winamp 2x Bug List

Known problem only with in_wm.dll when playing WMA files,
but definitely not with MP3's. As sawg says, this can only be caused by some dodgy 3rd party plugin, probably general purpose (gen_*.dll)

Please refer to The Official 3rd-party Plugin Buglist

Are you sure these are MP3 files, not WMA ?
