Getting WinAMP to RETURN values for an oscilloscope display?

Hi,

Is it possible to get WinAMP to RETURN values to a VB application. I am looking for volume levels or other information required to create oscilloscope or spectrum analyser style displays. This info could be used to create pretty visualisation or even potentially useful displays, or it could be output to other devices (see below).

I have an NEC V20 based machine (at a whopping 4.7Mhz

) with a 640x400 monochrome backlit LCD screen. I would like to write a little DOS QBASIC program for it which will read the appropriate data from it's serial port and use it to display an oscilloscope style display on-screen.

Well, if you read the SDK then you'll see there's some info provided in the structure.
(Waveformdata and spectrumdata)
