A problem with 2.77 full and std.

I have a playlist with with 110 files. Whenever i click to add a file from C://My Music which has 250 files. Winamp freezes and doesn't load the files. I have to use ctrl+alt+del to close it. Also this happened in winamp ver. 2.75 and 2.73. Lastly this doesn't happen in 2.77 lite. Note: I upgraded from 2.76.

Sounds like bad plug-in or a bad install
delete any thoird party plug-ins and try re-installing
Also, run a virus scanner

I don't have any 3rd party plug-ins and i redownloaded full and std. 3 times. Reinstalled, then uninstlled because of the problem. Also i ran my virus scanner twice and once a week. The surprising thing is the 2.77 lite works. Maybe i should use Winamp3. Hmmm?

Are the files in the C:\My Music dir all MP3's, or are there any other filetypes in there that Winamp doesn't essentially support, eg. EXE, TXT, JPG, ZIP, MOV, MPEG, AVI, etc?

Also, do any of the files have extremely long filenames or contain irregular characters such as an excess of full stops/periods?

Things like this have been know to cause problems when using the Open/Add files common dialog.

Some sys specs wouldn't go amiss either! (especially soundcard & OS)

I tried everything and it doesn't work. I wonder why it only happens in 2.73, 2.75,and now 2.77? Maybe the developers can find the problem because lite works and full doesn't.
