Skip silence in MP3
Well.. Many CDs contain "secret" tracks preceeded with few minutes of silence. That silence is VERY annoying when listening. There would be 3 options:
1. Rip the silence off while ripping that CD. 2. Use some algorithm to rip it off from MP3, without recompressing (might even be possible, but at least it is difficult). 3. Use player which can rip it off "transparently", while playing. Option #1 doesn't work because CDex doesn't support that and because that would require re-ripping many CDs. Option #2 would work, if there were software for it, but I haven't found any. Option #3 should be pretty easy to implement in in_mp3. This feature would be much more useful than visualization, WinAMP Browser, or skinning - WinAMP is an audio-player after all, not looks-nice-widget. |
