WSZ Renaming Problem
I have been having trouble renaming .ZIP files into .WSZ files. I am currently running Win2K Pro and it seems that whenever I attempt to change the extension, the it simply adds .WSZ to the name.... keeping the .ZIP extension.
For example I start off with "SKIN.ZIP" and when I attempt to change the extension it simply edits the name to "SKIN.WSZ.ZIP" I read all the developer pages but cannot find anything that goes into any depth on this. Is this a common problem? I am sure there is an easy fix... can someone help me out with this? Frog |

No you are not a dumbass. It is the people at Microsoft who are the dumbasses for making it so hard to rename the full extension. Of course you used to be able to go into an MS-DOS prompt and rename it there, but no, after Win98 the removed MS-DOS so you have to show all the file extensions which personally I dont like but have to live with.
Just to raise your self-esteem... |
