IE 6 problems

Version 2.77 crashes every time after I downloaded IE 6 and mediaplayer 7.1 .

I solved it by downloading version 3(beta) and after I played a file i'm able to use 2.77. So it is not a real solution but it works .

It doesn't really crash but it freezes. Sometimes i get a blue screen with an error message about a .vxd file and after that winamp works. But it works too if i played a song with winamp 3 and then start 2.77.

I'm using windows 98 (dutch) same language version for IE6

2.77 freezing

I also have media player 7.1,IE 6.0, and Winamp 2.77, and whenever I try to load music or play it, it freezes. Most of the time, I have to do a total reboot of my system. I had an older version of Winamp (can't remember what) and tried the new 3.0, both of which worked fine. I've got a p200 MMX, 64 MB RAM, 1.87 GB HD, Yamaha OPL3-SAx sound card (Soundblaster Compatible), and a Kingston 10x100 ethernet card, which I use to connect to the University's LAN. What's the problem here?

The blue sceen gives the following explanation :
Fatal 0E on 0028:C0031C7A in VxD---. Called by 0028:C00301F9 in VxD---.
But the blue screen comes mostly when I start 2.77 next to 3beta. Maybe the versions don't react good to each other . But with one wrong is the other undone

I tried downloading pevious versions but now they got the same problem even if I remove 2.77 completly. First with the uninstaller and the files or folders left behind manualy.

There is also another strange thing. The ID3tag editor is stripped. The normal window where you can input ID3v1 and ID3v2 is replaced by a window where you can only input one tag but it doesn't say witch version of the tag is used. And it is also stripped from its skin. It works it's just strange. Is there a little program to see witch tag version is used?

Remove the st00pid MP3Pro 3rd-party plugin, or whichever replacement MP3 Input plugin you installed.

I deleted the mp3pro plugin but 2.77 still freezes less than before but still.

I'm sure now it has somthing to do with IE6 because when my browser is running and i want to start winamp my browsers shuts down and than plays winamp.

I hope that can help you taking care of this bug.

xwer,

it would rock if you provided full system specs, such as detailed info about your soundcard, videocard, amount of RAM installed, CPU brand & type, mainboard brand, type and revision, Windows version, DirectX version, and so on.

Provide as much info as possible, that will help us a lot to try to find a solution for your problem .

Peace.
