More confusion

Good idea THEMike. I have now installed version 2.77, up from 2.76. It may have made some difference but I am still not getting the desired results.

Here's what is happening now.

My Web links are of the form http://blah/blah.pls and work just fine when I click them to launch WinAMP for on-demand play. When I drag/drop the link to my playlist, it still doesn't work (404 Resource not found). However, if I "save-as" the link to the desktop and then drag it to the playlist it works just fine!

Next, I altered my Web links to be of the form http://blah/blah.mp3 and repeated the test. When I click the Web link I receive a new Web page saying only "Invalid resource." But when I drag the link to the playlist it pops in there just fine and launches when it's slot comes up! Just the reverse (but desired) effect!

It would be trivial to put both types of links on the Web page, but it just seems like I shouldn't have to do it that way. Any ideas?

Maybe it's because I began this quest on the night of the full moon

Thanx
