SB live soundcard
i have had "the" problem with sb live cards and am at my wits end
i have searched this forum, updated every driver i can think of, reorganised all my irq's, reinstalled my soundcard/graphics card, defragged my hard drive, played with winamp setting (realtime, max/min buffer, ect ect) used many output plugins and even reinstalled windows. nothing has worked, i am still plagued by random skips and jumps. my question is would getting rid of this sh*t blaster card solve my problem? i was thinking a turtle beach? i have spent well over £150 on my sound alone and to have it skip is very annoying. any help would be greatly appreciated Benny -------------------------------------- System: Duron 950 (112x8.5) Abit KT7A-Raid (Raid disabled) 265mb pc133 Voodoo 3 3000 SB Live 1024 IBM ATA100 7200rpm 40Gb HD 52x cd rom Windows 2000 SP2 Direct X 8 Winamp 2.77 |

I've got a Sb live! 1024 and Windows 2000 too, and it's working ok (not great). It doesn't skip or anything like that in Winamp, only when i'm using the direct sound output plugin. So don't use it.
Do the skips only happen in Winamp or also in other programs? |
