rip arguement

yeah, i recieved the same email as everyone else did. i didn't really want to make the skin, but i looked for one like it, and didn't find one, which is why it can't be a rip. i made this skin from scratch, and its my first skin. personally, i think it kinda sux, so i dunno why i would rip it from someone else. so how can it be a rip?

It helps if you post the component ID number, otherwise we can't say nothing about your skin.

OK, here's the skinny on your skinny. This skin is almost all base skin, and as such cannot be published. You should make an effort to skin at least 3 components (Main, Equalizer and Playlist) by yourself or with the help of a skinner tool to be eligible for publication. Also, a skin is not considered complete unless also the Minibrowser and AVS windows are skinned, but you can publish without them. You just loose some rating points.

well, i dont quite understand. this is not as much base skin as it may seem. i changed all the background, to totally black, i changed most of the buttons, like equalizer buttons, volume control, balance, etc. i changed the play buttons and etc. i changed the cursor. and of course the random pro-life sayings. as well as the changing of the slider, and etc. i spent alot of time on that, i thought it wasnt too bad, for a first skin. and i didnt know what the minibrowser and avs were. if i must i will do more to it.

If you look in the skin data base, you'll notice that the skins in there look completely different from the base skin, as opposed to yours, which, despite your modifications, looks very much like the base skin. I would suggest you make a skin that looks nothing like the base skin at all, but is your own creation. We could publish your skin as is, but it would be rated very low, and as a result not be seen by anybody.

I like your attitude, Jezusraver!
Some people in your situation would get mad and quit skinning or start a flame war or something like that.

oh man, don't tell him to reinstall windows, we'll probably never hear from him again!!

MSPaint can easily be fixed, if you still have your Windows (95? 98? Me? whatever) CD.

Just click start - settings - control panel - double click "add/remove programs"

click the tab at the top that says "windows setup"

it'll do a short search then provide you with a list of components you can install and uninstall

go down the list, making sure there is a check box next to each item you want installed - also, highlight one of them, and click details for a "itemized" list of all thats included
you don't have to install every "accessibility" program, and so on and so on. You'll find the MSPaint option under Accessories.

If it doesn't work for you the first time you do it, go back to add/remove programs - windows setup - and UNCHECK the MSPaint box, and click ok - this should uninstall it - removing any corrupted files - then go back a third time, recheck the box, insert your CD and you're off and running.

If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com
I can't remember all the names but specifically hunting for Lascivious, and DEVOUR (compilation with Jax) and any in the Impulse series which had 6 total. Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig.
