'7/9/95' is not a valid date

i keep getting a messgae

winamp alert
'7/9/95' is not a valid date

like once every 5 minutes
in fact while writing this (and listening to a winamp radio channel) i got 11 yes eleven of them appear one after another AND NOW ANOTHER TWELVE !!

they are simultaneous with a pause in the stream, but which is cause and which is effect i do not know

it's a clean install today 24nov2001, with deadamp also installed and a skin which seems to be called bum_ ??
windows 2000 pro cable modem

i am in uk so usually date format messages are about dates like 24/11/01 VS 11/24/01, but this date parses (7 sep to me, maybe 9 july to you)

it is actually making it unusable BAD

any help please

do clean reinstall without any third-party plugins
