Question.... I would like to know do people like this:

[Trance Techno Dance] CLUSTER D I G I T A L L Y - I M P O R T E D - European Trance, Techno, Hi-NRG... we can`t define it!

are able to serv so many listeners? I understand how the equation works but what are they doing to serv that amout volume??

Can some one explain it to me please??? I know some listing BS there capacity...

well it is very simple:

1) make a good radio
2) take a bag of money
3) give the moneybag to your preffered isp
4) tell him to give u HUGE ammount of bandwidth
5) install radio-software
6) get some music
7) start "sending" it
8) wait for listners to tune in
9) advertise all over inet and newspaper and get more listners
10) repeat #2 -->

That was funny... now back to the ranch. Are they using a buch of servers??? I know they got band width and lots of it, but still there is but so much band width out there. What would a configuration like that look like hardware wise.

perhaps by streaming off their own servers, then outsourcing the rest to streaming host companies. This is my best guess. I think the most important thing in having that much bandwidth is having even more money. I don't thing that many listeners could be achieved with just one company. It's a great station though, I listen to it all the time.

Look, the amount of bandwidth that station uses is just a drop in the bucket compared to what is available.

he has stacked 10 or so servers together from different ISP's some give him the bandwidth in exchange for advertising cuz they like the music. The number you posted was just those servers capacity and listener counts all added up, that is not all coming from the same pipe or even the same continent.

it's really not all that hard to figure out once you listen to his station.
