Expert Skinners

I'm connected with some people that are looking for some expert skinners to command the style of their sound apps.

If you're a skinner and you have mad skills, please drop me a link to your portfolio.

You better go away quietly before somebody jumps on your back for advertising in our forum.

Too late.
What the hell are you doing advertising here. That is forbidden, highly unethical, and just plain annoying. Go flaunt your stuff somewhere else.

He wants a link to your portfolio. Sent him that and you are inviting him to steal your ideas.

To be honest

Apologies for coming off enterprising. I'm simply about to invest in some dope pro audio mp3 mixing hardware and the skinning on their app is mediocre. If I say nothing, it will stay mediocre, and there is nothing that brings more tears to my eyes than a killer app with a wack skin.

Signal to noise ratio down. I resign my inquiry.

bored by the predictable response

Ok, guess what. They tell you nothing in life free. I will now proceed to defile that axiom.

The app in question is BPM Studio 4. If you don't believe your style is appropriate don't email them.

You see, I want a wicked skin for the app. Being as that most of you suck (evident by what must be over 40,000 examples of poor skinning at winamp.com), I was going to WEED OUT all the lameness, but it appears I busted up a cozy tea party...

I retract my apology.

::Philippe::

PS: of course, I share your distaste of advertising, so I won't tell you to fuck off as you did me...

Amazing. His liberal use of such phrases and words as "command the style", "mad skills", "dope pro", and "wack" did not succeed in obtaining him the immediate respect of the members of this forum. Certainly not the expected response. How could his flawless plan have failed?

Now that I've been "exposed"

"Out of the midst of the fire gentlemen.."

Aestas, you have an advantage in this forum that I don't have. I step in crossing the line. I get worked. You dish out clever cynical comments.

Which is great, keep up the good work.

But how long are y'all going to keep up the fuck you commi routine when it's clear I'm not here to jack the source code.

I actually enjoy passive aggresive bullshit because it's entertaining. But since I'm not here to dick you, maybe you can listen instead of assault me with "reply fuck yous." Maybe I'm eccentric but I'm not here for your soul.

Allow me to redefine my interest.

*gasp*

The most formidable digital media club software/hardware solution has basically evolved into the professional arena. BPM Studio 4+ is genuinely a solid way for a DJ to archive and form sound. And it has yet to seriously hit US markets. I imagine it will soon.

Check it out www.alcatech.com.

In contrast with other apps it *looks* half baked. Native Instruments Traktor is well skinned, even PCDJ Red looks more polished. Alcatech makes other products (with the exception of finalscratch, which probably tops it) look fresh out of the Mickey Mouse Club with one exception...aesthetics.

The reality is, development jocks, arguers have it all over non arguers. And for being at the home of the app that started it all...

I'm getting a lot of bitching.

::Philippe::

And fuck me, get paid. Good skinning equals eye candy. Look at quality DJ gear. It sells cause it cause it works AND it looks cool.

no one here wants to help you. the fuck yous should have told you that. just leave this forum. replying again and saying "you guys suck at skinning. and you keep saying fuck you. that's mean" isn't going to convince anyone to help you. find another forum cuz people here just aren't interested.

ps i hope you noticed i never said fuck you or anything, i remained fairly polite. now please leave.

...

Someone jumped to conclusions and told me to fuck off, which is fine.

That's what forums are all about.

And do you think I'd be wasting my time if I didn't respect what you do. I was ripping on you. Fair volley of blows.

And even if I was some covert operative for an overseas company trying to rob the winamp community like a fat boy in a candy store I'd be in the toddler forum brainwashing 13y olds that probably skin for free.

Anyway, this was fun. Ciao.
