wtf?

<vent>
I'm not going to complain about the surprisingly low score for this thing but come on, what's incomplete about it that it only got 4 out of 5 stars for completeness? All 5 components are skinned with no bugs (that I know of), I even included a mikroAMP skin and cursors! If that's not complete then I don't know what else to do. And only 3 out of 5 for originality? Show me another skin that even remotly looks like it and I'll show you a surprised pixel pusher. My first skin actually scored higher on originality and that was one of the major gripes everyone (and I) had about it... ok, maybe I did complain about the surprisingly low score, but I think I have a valid complaint there...

hmmm...

i dunno, maybe the skin-squad are a bit overworked if the database has come back to life?

personally, i think its a good competent skin but i don't find it all that original. somehow it reminds me of the style of skin that was popular a couple of years ago. (this is not a flame, just my opinion)

i agree it does seem complete.

the only bug i could find is in the title display. when you press and hold volume or balance most of the display goes black. i think the pixels you need to paint are in the column immediately after the 'a' in text.bmp .
maybe someone can confirm/correct this?

I think this, like probus's skin, deserves 5 stars. I can appreciate that since the database has been down you have a huge backlog, but I think that you could pay more attention to skins like these which obviously have had work.

I think I would rather have 25 well reviewed skins than 1000 skins with identical comments.

Not having a go at you, but surely a great proportion of the skins are skinner.exe and you could spend a bit more time on these obviously worked on skins.

The main thing i see with publishing skins is that the skins are actually published on the site, 1000's of people come 2 the site everyday and if they're after skins they will search for the skins they want,

2 be honest its getting annoying hearing in every other thread I'm unhappy/annoyed/pissed with my rating on my newest skin,

I read in another post that the review squad sometimes get thru 100's of skins in a day, and they are only just keeping up, if they only reviewed a few skins the backlog would be incredible and it would take months 2 publish a skin again and i dont think that anyone wants that to happen, and then we would get all of the why is my skin taking so long (they also annoy me)

the only solution i can see to these problems is either the skin review system needs to be changed slightly so that we have instant publishing but reviewing of the skin cannot take place until after the offical review has been done, but the skin can be downloaded, but this wont happen cuz nullsoft currently do not have a web developer,

i agree that its unfair on someone who has spent weeks on a skin gets the same treatment as someone who uses skinner.exe i think the skinner.exe skins should get a skinner.exe comment, copied and pasted from one 2 the next with a star rating that it deserves and then good skins should get a good review with positive and negative comments

Sorry, ripe. It is directed at the SRS who I know hang out here (since most are SYSL regs).

You were right, your skin has been re-rated. Very good skin. Sorry for reviewing at 3:00am.

good call Wally - I've downloaded and played with this skin for quite a while - it really is one of the very few skins I can say deserves 5 stars

If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com
I can't remember all the names but specifically hunting for Lascivious, and DEVOUR (compilation with Jax) and any in the Impulse series which had 6 total. Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig.

didn't you know Ratchet - we're all whiners in skin love

on the real though, don't feel bad, I think some of the people on the review team are overdoing it

I imagine after staring at skin after skin after skin for days and days and days... you stop seeing them and start giving everyone average ratings

just a thought, not a truth.
