my skin

I've submitted this skin but its taking forever to publish so I thought that I would post it here for all you guys to take a look at. its called Almost Positive. that's the naem of my band. its also what the =' + thing means. I based it kinda off of my stereo too, and i tried to make it look like the buttons light up and all that jazz. the doodle things are impressionistic of sound.

the pic is kinda small, maybe I'll try and enlarge it, or get a print screen of it in action.

Actually what you should do is save the jpg onto your computer. At least for me, I can't even go to the site to see it.

The screenshot is kind of small and blurry. Put it in png or something like that

yeah I thought there sould be some problems with that site, there always seems to be. I made a good preview file, that other one was just the pic posted by winamp in the unpublished thing. I made 2 views of it, one all selected and one totally unselected. now that I think about it I don't have the minibrowser in this preview, so IF you wanted to see that: deal with it, its similar to the others but yellow.

I think there is too much going on. There is a rainbow of colors and it looks jumbled. Other than that it looks alright.

yeah it is pretty colourful, i htink it looks too much like the base skin for my liking, maybe if the cbuttons, eq slider thingys and a couple of other things were changed a bit more...

otherwise it looks good

some of the stuff does look look like the base skin, mostly because this is my first skin and I wouldn't know where to put the buttons otherwise, and secondly because I based it kinda off of my stereo, and the original looks somewhat like a stereo aslo. i did most of it in photoshop so i left the generic winamp skin underneath while a worked on it, to make sure I had the buttons right. and I like that its crazy and has a lot going on. it keeps me interested. It doesn't look quite so busy if you look at it for real, instead of in the preview, because that has 2 large versions and 2 small versions showing at the same time. I'll include another shot of what it looks like normally. if you search around on that geocities site a bit I have a copy of the skin.

its not my stereo very closely, but the grays and light up buttons are based on a few of the buttons on my stereo. its a Sony 50+1 CD Dolby Prologic Surround Sound 200watts system, hooked to my computer(which also has a surround sound card) with a cord that takes the 1/8 inch audio jack into 2 RCA Plugs. i have to do some tricky stuff wiht the rear speakers to make it work right. basically the colors are light gray/silvery stuff, then darker gray and the black plastic display thing. some of the buttons light up like a mentioned before and the lettering is light gray. the main window looks the most similar to my stereo.

I submitted it to Winamp on Nov 13 or something like that and it hasn't come through yet. myabe they don't like it or something but it seems kinda odd. I'll up load it to my site, which I basically use just to store pics and the like. well, gotta go

yeah its too big for this board, I was gonna upload it on my site but I didn't have time last time i was on, so I'll do it now if it isn't already on. its saved as a .txt because the site doesn't allow weird file types. just rename it to .wsz and its all good. the site is: almost positive skin that should do it. it doesn't seem like it works, maybe you can fix it. i also have it on geocities:

Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig.
