Behind a router ... how to set the server in this way ...
Hi guys,I had set up a shoutcast server with winamp... but one problem i encountered is that when i am behind a router, my ip changes and thus i can only broadcast using my LAN ip but other people who wanna listen cannot listen cause its a LAN Ip and not the original WAN IP. So how do i get it up so that people can listen ? for those who don't get me. e.g i have an isp provided me with the ip 111.222.333.444 but then with the router it spilts to say 555.666.555.1 (for pc 1), 555.666.555.2 (for pc 2) and so on ... so when i broad cast it shows the IP of 555.666.555.1 for PC 1 .... how u all get me ... with the LAN ip i cannot get users to listen ... hope u all can help me with it ... thanks =)
