Winamp crashes when I bring up the load box
This never happened until I upgraded to WinXP...
Whenever I click anything that would bring up a load box, (load file, add file, add dir, save playlist, etc) Winamp crashes sometimes. Everything is completely erratic about it. Sometimes it crashes with an error box. Sometimes it just closes down and does nothing. Once or twice, didn't crash but froze up, and one time, it caused Windows to collapse to entirely. I'm thinking this is XP's fault rather than winamp...but is there anything I can do? |

ok an idea
I'm also a beginner in this..
but I think the reason why winamp get stuck..( I have the problem too)..is because (if you are IE5 when playing)..you have alot of small internetfiles..that block of the memory for Winamp to use as what I do..Is clear all of those internetfiles..with Norton clean save..( well not freeware)..but it clears...most of te files.. and by also trying to defragment your pc once in a while..(like every sic months)..it will stay tt load faster.. Cause alot of file get mixed up..and to laod something they have to search for.. so basicly..your memory much be full of any other stuff that you did.. that also us alot of that kind of memory..clean them up..or defragment the pc.it might work..( well for me it did) |
