help!!.. i cant change the colors!!!!
i am in process of making a winamp skin
and i have used mostly blue for the main, playlist and so on.. the problem is that sometimes i open other bitmap images to edit them for example eq_ex.bmp and monoster.bmp and i can select blue. it just goes a light shade of grey. as if the only colors that can be used are white and black and any shades in between.. monoster for example also lets me use the color green.. i presume because there is already green in the original bitmap. if you know what the preoblem is and know how to change this plz HELP!!!!! thanks |

The template you have is using a reduced colour pallete, try increasing the colour depth to something like 16 million colours, I'm guessing that at the momment you are on something like a 16 colour pallete.
You can do this quite easily in PSP or Photoshop, which one are you using? If it's PSP then Colours > Increase Colour Depth > 16 million colours I would imagine it's something similar in Photoshop. Failing that, get yourself a proper 24bit template to work with. http://www.winamp.com/skins/detail.j...ponentId=71571 |

I made my frist Winamp Skin in MS Paint. Each .bmp file has been either reindexed or as Mr. Jones said, made with a reduced colour pallette. To fix that, change the colours or simply resize the picture, copy the entire image, create a new file and paste. Then reduce the picture to the correct size. The colour pallette will have changed back to its default.
