FTP need help on how....
I was just wondering how to make an FTP using your computer as a server or something or free space on the net
maybe, I don't know how it works thats why I posted all help welcome ![]() BT2002 |

I'f you on a dial up or you IP changes ever you need something like http://******.deerfield.com// simply register and setup and then run ftp server program such as GuildFTPd from Download.com. then your ftp address becomes ftp.whatever.******** People can then access you from where ever, remember not to give everyone full access to your HDD and other basic secureity issues. I couldn't get this arrangement going when behind a router. Other wise it works really well.

I'm using ****** and Bulletproof ftp server. (As you well know Tape
)Easy to use. But not really for you on your dialup connection :| |

I can't wait for when I get a better net speed then and only then I will kill my 56k modem

I also recommend G6 (now known as Bullet-proof). It's very easy to set up and use. There is however too much to it to explain all of it here so if you have any specific questions post back.
