Eternal life, eh?
Has anyone seen or *gasp* tried the Eternal Life rings? I found the site from a humor link, and I must say the stuff on that site is quite funny... but has anyone actually tried them?
I'm interested to see if they really work (I mean if they improve your health and such, not give you eternal life... that's ridiculous). I've also heard accounts that they make you have crazy dreams. Is it true? Here's the site if you haven't heard of them (prepare for a good chuckle or two). Eternal Life Rings |

They are just magnets. You are sitting on a big enough magnet right now.

Well, chi (spelling?) is very real and is based on the energy fields traveling through your body. But chi has never, atleast by non anient standards, been shown to do anything so extravagant and huge as this. But it can be very effective for some things. Psychologists use it to help reverse crossed thoughts. Chiropractics use to see if various parts of your body need to be adjusted. And scam artists abuse it's mystical reputation in hopes to gain a few extra bucks.
[edit]I just relized the word chi was in this dudes name Coincidence?Ever heard the saying "I didn't choose [insert anything], it chose me". Looks like chi chose Alex Chiu. |

in other words, you really can't compare chi in that way to a soul. [edit]and yes I have had chi done to me, and yes it worked. This was before I knew anything about it. But my comments aren't motivated by my amazment of it working on me, dont get me wrong. I am trying to use logic here, and if something works on every-last person I know, and billions more ever since it was discovered, and has even become mainstream and accepted as actual treatment, I think that's enough for you to know atleast something real is happening with chi. |

The Chinese used to promote the ingestion of small amounts of Mercury. They said it prolonged life. Long use doesn't denote validity.
Fortune tellers and Tarot readers have been around as long as the concept of Chi. They have yet to be proven valid. A lot of people still believe that it's possible to read Tarot cards (or the stars) and see the future. I doubt it seriously. But, there have been billions of people over thousands of years who were convinced that it was real, and that it worked. Still no proven validity. Long use and belief of effectiveness does not prove anything. 50% of people report that they feel better when they take a placebo. A placebo is still a worthless pill. Once again, though, I'd like to say that I am not denying the existence of Chi. I'm only denying the proof of that existence. I don't know for certain if Chi truly exists, though I believe it probably does on some level, but that doesn't mean that I will accept it blindly. In the absence of proof, we are left to faith. That's all we have for Chi. For the freedom to express myself in my own way without fear of being censored or banned.47 65 6C 61 65 64 2E 63 6F 6D 00 |
