What Was Your First Post?

Ok, ok. Starting out at Winamp Forums was rough. After the grueling months (even years) to get yourself noticed here by fellow Winampers, what was your first post that you made that kept you coming back for more forum posting. Mainly this (I think) would be suited for people who have posted about 150 (probably more)posts or more and are considered popular around the forums, just because they post fun stuff, interesting stuff, helpful stuff, or just stupid (if you want to call it that). So share us your first posts, either by quoting it yourself, or linking it, how ever you wish. Heres mine after searching over 400 posts to find it, or just search for it by name. It'll also be helpful to explain what your thoughts are now about your first post.

I still think that Tripod is the best, Angelfire now sucks, and Geocities is plain terrible. They got too Yahoo'ey with Yahoo!. Angelfire got TerraLycos Networked, and Tripod still is the best one out there yet for free webpages. Just that they all suck at linking my signature to here, so I use http://hometown.aol.com.

I honestly couldn't tell you, it was so long ago. It was either a tech help question or... something else.

(It was in response to pukkaboy about mpeg video or something.)

Anyway here is the rarity that is a thread by me, when i asked the same question many months ago -

My first post was in Technical Support Newbies,
probably asking how to do something,
I can't exactly remember.
I looked but the search won't go back that far.
(or I'm not doing it right)
Anyway...DJ Egg was the first person I talked to.
And what a great friend he's turned out to be,
along with allot of others good people here.

This is the earliest post that the search found by me. June 15 2000... heh... Tech Support. I highly doubt that it's my first post though.... I got my minidisc player well after I even had knowledge that Nullsoft had a forum. I bet that this is either the first post after my account got whacked by UBB, or the earliest post that hasn't been deleted from the DB.

I remember my first post. It was about crystal pepsi in the old "red mountain dew" thread.

What?!?! Crystal pepsi and red mountain dew?!?! Anyway, I dont know what my first post was. I'm pretty sure it was a tech question though.

AHHHH I tried searching and I forgot, with that mess up in October with my E-mail, my register date was set to October 2001, all the search results come up with stuff AFTER October, they must have a thing that searches only within the dates they have been "registered".... (BTW: Thanks sawg again for that help in October )

Alas, my first posts were in "Skin Love" circa July, 2000, where I stirred things up by reporting skin "rips" and generally being a pest. Those posts have been archived or deleted now.

The earliest post I can find is this one:

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=35623

where I was awkwardly trying to help someone out with a sound problem.

I was replying to the 'lurkers' topic when I hit 'new topic' instead of 'post reply' so I had to go back and change it all to plz delete me, but by then people had posted in there so it turned into a regular topic LOL..here's the link.

This is the oldest one the forum shows: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=25989

though I know that I made earlier ones. Heh. I used to finish every post with this -->

Don't really do that quite so often.

It's funny to see how I used to be, when this was my first message board...

My first post here was in GD.
It was something along the lines how much in_mp3.dll sucked and linked to a decoder that didn't have that 100 hz problem.

I linked to here:
http://www.mp3dev.org/mp3/winamp/winamp.html
Before it was fixed and such.

Wow, I'd never looked for my first post. It's a huge rant in the WA3 forum to some guy who was pissed off about WA3. He was anygry about it "being delayed", so I wasted a bunch of words "seting him straight" . . .

It probably got nuked when NS nuked UBB though.
