Streaming audio/video plays too fast

I have no clue where else I can ask this. I have Winamp and Real One on my computer. Anything that I try to stream from the web (audio or video) always plays too fast (like 1.5 or 2 times too fast). I tried setting the bandwidth at various sites that I get streaming data from- didn't work. Also- I'm probably computerly challenged compared to most of you people (although, to a few of my friends- I'm a genious)- so don't get too technical on me. Does anyone know what the deal is? CDs play fine from both drives. This is my computer at work, and I don't know what's installed or anything. I think I have your basic Sound Blaster card or whatever. Thanks!
