recording video from cool vis plugins...(w/ audio)

Is there? or will there ever be? a plugin that allows you to record the cool visualization plugin effects along with the audio. Two awsome visualization plugins such as Acidspunk II and Jet v1.1 lead me to this question. I would love to composite some 3d objects like a spaceship or space scene into a music video.
